Holiday Home Zeeland
Conversion of a farmhouse in the hinterland of Zeeland into a holiday home.
In this project we focused on enlarging the fragmented and dark spaces, bringing in natural light and creating new visual connections.
The interior has been pared down to a minimum by peeling off the inauthentic layers that were added over time: only original materials and characteristic elements were kept and restored.
The design interventions seek to complement the farmhouse’s essence by using local and natural materials in a contemporary way, adding a modern touch and a timeless spirit.
We favoured mixing pieces from different origins and periods which results in an eclectic feel.
